Growing to meet needs: The new high-performance DATRON Dental milling machine

DATRON, the milling machine specialist, has an excellent reputation in 40 countries around the world due in part to the consistent modularity of its systems. The company's standard solutions can be configured to a large extent to meet the individual needs of each user. This also applies to the new high-performance DATRON Dental milling machine, which is available in a total of three expansion versions. Full flexibility is also ensured by the open interfaces and the material selection. Those looking for more detailed information can attend the DATRON Dental CAD/CAM workshop at the company headquarters in Mühltal, near Frankfurt/Main. This event will next be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fee for participants is 79.00 Euro plus VAT.

The DATRON Dental mills ceramics (e.g. Zirconium Dioxide), metals (e.g. Cobalt-Chrome, Titanium) as well as PMMA in the form of discs. Standard indications such as crowns and bridges are quickly and precisely manufactured with the 3 ½-axis basic model. Without manual intervention, this system can automatically process two raw parts in one cycle. The four-axis expansion variant opens up a wide spectrum of indications, since undercuts can also be realised in an axis plane. DATRON Dental's third extension stage makes it possible to do undercuts of up to 25° and permits the manufacture of the most complex geometric shapes, such as individual implant superstructures thanks to 5-axis simultaneous processing. The automatic tool changer can be fitted with a total of twenty milling tools for different materials. In addition, an automation system can be integrated as an option so that – over the weekend, for example – eight additional material discs can be machined in no-personnel operation.

Depending on the requirement, the DATRON Dental with open interfaces is delivered as an individual solution or as an integral part of a user-specific CAD/CAM package. For further information, please call: 0049 (0) 61 51 / 14 19 0, or per E-Mail at info@datron.de as well as at www.dental.datron.de.
