The DATRON D5 was developed specifically and exclusively for dental milling applications. All specifications from machine size to performance were designed for the efficient handling and milling of dental blanks (or material pucks). The blank is milled in the absolute centre of the machine ensuring optimal cutting force. High performance servo and torque motors deliver superior machining dynamics and speed.
Rigid and Accurate Rotating Axis
The fact that the turning centre of the axis lies directly in the centre of the material blank leads to tremendous rigidity – and contributes considerably to extremely high manufacturing accuracies. |

1.8 kW Precision Spindle
This spindle features HSK-E 25 tool holders that have minimal run-out and high radial rigidity – so there is less chance of tool breakage when using small tools. Internal liquid chilling keeps the bearings at a constant temperature which is important when tight depth tolerances are required. |
