Just in time for the end of their summer training camp, football team SV Darmstadt 1898 e.V. (SVD) announces a new member: DATRON AG. The Mühltal-based company becomes a partner of the “Im Zeichen der Lilie” campaign and will, for the next two years, support one of the Bundesliga club’s social projects each season.

SVD started the campaign in July 2012. Since then, successful local projects like the addiction prevention program “Meine Abwehr steht” or a stadium shuttle service for Darmstadt fans with disabilities have been created. With DATRON AG, SV Darmstadt 98 adds an international company deeply rooted in the local community, with decades of expertise in building machines for CNC milling, dental milling and dispensing, to its partners. Many DATRON employees are also long-time SVD Fans: When Oliver Keller, Head of Sales for SV Darmstadt 98, visited the company to announce the partnership during the company's internal summer party, he was greeted by the staff who were wearing the club’s colors and singing the popular fan anthem “Oh Lilie”. DATRON CEO Dr. Arne Brüsch then presented Keller with a Darmstadt 98 logo made of anodized aluminium, produced by a DATRON CNC milling machine.

“What the team, the trainers, the management and all the employees of SV Darmstadt 98 have achieved together with their incredible fans and audience is unique and support-worthy. DATRON too is successful because of a strong team effort and down-to-earth attitude. Supporting a social project in the Darmstadt-Dieburg region every year is the best thing about this partnership, as it goes hand in hand with our company values. We wish Darmstadt 98 all the best for the upcoming Bundesliga season and hope that their virtues, team spirit and competitiveness mixed with modesty, will continue to make them successful”, the DATRON CEO commented.
