The fact that the production output of an industrial machine increases with the expertise and skills of the operator, is well-known. However, not every user is aware that by making a small but targeted modification in the parameters, or by using a new tool, the machining process can be significantly improved. During the annual Technology Day held on 11 April 2013, DATRON AG offered multifaceted insights about the latest machining methods, and brought the numerous visitors up-to-date in terms of milling, dispensing and dental technologies.
The focus on “Teamwork with the Machine” was the setting for the entertaining and informative programme of technical seminars and live demonstrations.
The Technology Day again was very well received this year. Both the machine area at the DATRON Technology Centre and the seminars were extremely well attended for all demonstrations and lectures. In particular, the increase in production efficiency through the use of the brand new DATRON PerfectCut smoothing and dynamics software package for HSC milling machines was met with very keen interest on part of the guests from the cutting industry. Participants, attending from all over the DACH region, praised in unison the varied mix of informative theory and practical implementation - in this case - of the DATRON M8 Cube with the PerfectCut package.
The optimum combination of theory and practice has long been a hallmark of all DATRON events. To this end, DATRON AG again secured the competent support from its partner network as in previous years. Industryleading companies shared their know-how in technical lectures with the participants in the seminar. The programme also allowed plenty of time for discussions with the experts about extremely individual questions, allowing visitors to take away their own personal added value into everyday production technology life.
The most differing facets were focused in order to increase efficiency and production performance for the customers’ benefit. An important feature of all DATRON Technology Days is the comprehensiveness with which the individual topics are covered. The programme of the event not only covered milling topics with technical contributions made by WDS Software & Service (MASTERCAM), Schunk GmbH (efficient machining using suitable clamping means and increase of tool life) and EGS Automation GmbH (SUMO automation systems). New innovative Loctite technologies and Henkel AG products were presented concerning dosing. Type3 software, for example, for use in the engraving industry, was also presented to the interested audience by GravoTech GmbH.
