The aim in developing this industrial machine for gluing and sealing applications was to create a cost-effective and flexible concept that allows customers to choose from machine types with or without a cabin. The DATRON evo 600 has a light overall appearance thanks to its differentiated color design but has the necessary robustness for unmanned industrial use. The free-arm axis concept of the dispensing machine offers great flexibility for many automation options, while removable cabin parts enable easy integration into production systems. The tilting and swiveling touch terminal also make the intuitive DATRON next software physically easily accessible and ensure ease of use for all application requirements.
Michael Daniel, CEO of DATRON AG, commented enthusiastically on the award: "With the DATRON evo 600, we at DATRON have received the seventh Red Dot Design Award. We make our innovative strength clearly tangible in the look and feel of our machine design. We are delighted about this success, which illustrates our sustainable DATRON innovation management not only through technical functionalities, but also through added value such as ergonomics and an attractive design language. Trade visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the DATRON evo 600 live at the DATRON stand C22 in hall 7 during the AMB show 2024 in Stuttgart."
DATRON last received a Red Dot Award in 2019 for the machine design of the DATRON MXCube high-performance machine tool. Previously, in 2016, the company impressed with the fully native communication design of the DATRON next machine control, which can be operated intuitively via touch and swipe gestures. DATRON received further Red Dot Awards for its outstanding product design of the DATRON neo (2016), DATRON D1 pure (2015), DATRON M8Cube (2013) and DATRON D5 (2010) machine tool solutions.
The Red Dot Design Award is an annual design competition for product and industrial design, brand and communication design as well as design concepts, in which the Red Dot is awarded as a quality label.
When awarding the DATRON evo 600, the jury of around 40 international independent experts emphasized the clear aesthetic design language of the machine design and the successful synthesis of precision, flexibility and user-friendliness.
