Ionization Systems
DATRON ionization systems ensure effective static removal and chip neutralization during high-speed milling of plastics. By preventing electrostatically charged chips from clinging to tools, workpieces, or machine parts, these solutions support clean machining, reduce downtime, and improve safety. Benefit from a clean machining environment, extended tool life, and higher surface quality for every job.
Ion Spray Gun
The ion spray gun offers a hand held solution for the removal of electrostatically charged chips. Quickly spray the ionized compressed air over the machine enclosure and remove the sticking statically charged chips. The gun can be installed in the field by simply plugging it into the machine 230 volt receptacle and is manually operated with no connection to the machine control.
Ionization Bar
The DATRON ionization bar neutralizes electrostatically charged chips by releasing ionized compressed air. These chips are directly transported into the chip box, which significantly reduces the required cleaning in the machine interior. This is conveniently activated with the DATRON next control system and supports a clean and efficient production.
Ionization Nozzles
The ion spray nozzles are mounted directly to the Z-axis, discharging chips and causing them to fall to the machining table making it easier to clean the machine. These nozzles are controlled automatically; however, they cannot be mounted when the DATRON CleanCut system, the brush head or the DATRON next camera are installed.
