Vacuum Clamping Systems

Vacuum Clamping Systems

Maximum holding force meets Plug & Play simplicity

DATRON vacuum table technology is ideal for clamping flat work pieces and thin sheet materials. Secured by vacuum, you can hold multiple work pieces at one time offering additional flexibility. The micro-perforated sacrificial card stock, DATRON VacuCard, simplifies mounting of your material and protects the vacuum chuck. This work holding is ideal for various machining processes for precise and efficient CNC machining.

Product Features

Rolls

For easier mounting of the vacuum plates, they have smooth-running rollers from 700 x 500 mm size. This allows the plates to be positioned on the machine table with little effort. In addition, they allow the machine table surface to be protected.

Recessed Handles

For safe handling of the vacuum plates, they have recesses that serve as grip recesses.

Strokes

The workpieces can be precisely aligned on the edges of the vacuum plates via rotatable stops. By lowering the stops, the workpieces can be reached from all sides for machining.

DATRON

Meander Vacuum Plates

Designed for clamping sheet material, DATRON meander vacuum plates ensure uniform vacuum distribution via 100 × 100 mm zones. The adjustable slots allow flexible alignment to various workpieces. The micro-perforated DATRON VacuCard acts as a sacrificial layer, protecting the plate while providing strong hold and precise results for flat parts.

DATRON

VacuCard++/+++

This patented sacrificial layer improves holding force using a grid-pattern sealing adhesive. Perfect for small or delicate parts, it increases friction, reduces vacuum loss, and helps stabilize soft or rough-surfaced materials. VacuCard++/+++ supports reliable milling while enabling residue-free removal of workpieces post-processing.

More about the DATRON VacuCard++

When should the VacuCard++ be used?

  • Milling small or delicate parts from sheet material
  • Processing thin or soft sheet materials
  • Working with blank stock without separators
  • Clamping rough or textured surfaces
  • Ensuring stability during high-force milling operations

How does the VacuCard++ work?

The VacuCard++ is ideal for applications where conventional vacuum alone isn't enough

Thanks to its patented sealing adhesive layer, the VacuCard++:

  • Increases holding force through a suction-cup effect
  • Improves part stability during high cutting forces
  • Prevents slipping with high surface friction
  • Reduces vacuum loss by sealing unused areas
  • Distributes vacuum evenly across the entire surface
  • Delays vacuum drop-off when drilling or cutting around the part
  • Keeps flexible materials flat, preventing edge lift
  • Allows clean removal of the part after machining, leaving no residue

How to use the VacuCard++

  • Place the VacuCard++ between the vacuum plate and the workpiece.
  • Use a pico knife to cut the protective film around the part’s footprint.
  • Remove the cut film sections and place the part directly on the exposed adhesive.
  • Activate the vacuum and begin machining.
  • After milling, the part can be removed cleanly and safely.

Technical Data

  • Patented cardboard layer with grid-adhesive coating
  • Combines adhesive and vacuum-based clamping
  • Reduces vacuum consumption through selective airflow
  • Residue-free removal
  • Eco-friendly disposal in paper recycling
