DATRON roll up their sleeves - South Hessian machine manufacturer offers corona vaccination for employees

Michael Daniel CFO der DATRON AG

Michael Daniel, CFO and part of the DATRON AG executive board team, is looking forward to his appointment for the first corona vaccination organized by the company

The South Hessian special machine manufacturer DATRON is one of the pioneers in providing a vaccination offer to around 280 employees at the three locations in Darmstadt, Mühltal-Traisa and Reinheim. From this week onwards, all employees who have accepted the offer of a company vaccination against COVID-19 will receive appointments for their first vaccination by the DATRON company physician Dr. Rainer Müller. For a long time, the company had been looking forward to the federal government's approval to ensure that its own employees are voluntarily vaccinated. Dr. Arne Brüsch, CEO of DATRON AG, and the company's management team had been waiting impatiently for the authorities’ go ahead. “Before we were able to make a specific vaccination offer to the DATRON staff, for months we had been confirming our active interest in our own in-house vaccination offer to the authorities. We can finally make this project come true in cooperation with our company physician. Even if we cannot influence the availability of vaccines, it is a great pleasure for us that all DATRON team members who want to be vaccinated now have the chance of an early first vaccination appointment."

The workforce, some of which had already been vaccinated as part of the ongoing federal prioritization campaign, accepted the offer very gratefully. Since 14 June 14, for the sake of fairness, DATRON employees receive an appointment by drawing lots for a first vaccination against COVID-19. Some DATRON people have their first “vaccination prick” already received by Dr. Müller. So far, over 20% of DATRON employees have been registered for a vaccination by the company physician. "As a medium-sized company, with an own initiative like this we fulfill our responsibility to actively promote the progress of the vaccination process and thus a sustainable economic growth in the region," commented Arne Brüsch his entrepreneurial contribution to "Sleeves up!"
